Brentford have completed their second new signing of the week.
Ricky Newman has joined the Club and brings with him a wealth of experience accumulated in the main at Reading his most recent club, Millwall and Crystal Palace.
Bees Chief Scout John Griffin, pictured with 34 year old Ricky said: "I have known Ricky since he was a 16 year old at Crystal Palace. He comes here with a good reputation and I know that he has the capability to hold the midfield together. Interestingly enough Ricky played with Adrian Whitbread and under Martin Allen during his time at the Madejski Stadium. The signing is a good one for the Club as Reading manager Steve Coppell was contemplating retaining him for another year in the Championship".

Adrian said "From speaking to DJ first-hand today, I can tell that he's very excited and cannot wait to get started. Like all the other players, he has been given his own personal individual programme in readiness for the start of pre-season. God bless, I'm not sure he'll be so excited after day one!"
